We believe that there is one God, the creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that He is loving, holy, all-knowing and all-powerful.

We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ – he was and is God (John 1:1-2 | John 1:18).

We believe that He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:1-25 | Luke 1:26-2:20 | Galatians 4:4-5), led an absolutely sinless life, performed many miracles, died as a substitution and atonement for those who accept Him (Colossians 2:13-20 | Titus 3:4-6), that His death on a cross is God the Father’s sole provision for the forgiveness of sin (Acts 4:12), that He literally, bodily rose from the dead (Mark 16:5-6), and that He will personally return in power and glory to judge the living and the dead (Matthew 25:31-26:1 | Hebrews 10:30 | Revelation 20:11-15 | Revelation 22:6-21).

Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior

• The first and foremost aspect of the gospel is Jesus Christ, the only hope of mankind. The salvation He brings is set forth in His inaugural address, where He quoted the prophet Isaiah: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:16-19)
• Salvation is so much more than merely “getting saved” it is a decision, yes, but it involves a lifetime of being healed, being restored, being delivered from oppression, and being set free to stand in a broad place of effective ministry.

Jesus Christ, the Healer

• The symbol of modern medicine is a brazen serpent, a replica of the very one Moses lifted to stay the plague on Israel. Jesus said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to Me.” He draws us to Himself in love, then touches us with healing power. Jesus provided a double cure for a double curse. When man fell in the garden, he opened Himself up to sin and sickness. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross and took stripes for our sickness just before He was crucified.
• Isaiah looked ahead and saw the Son of God as both Savior and Healer. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes, we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) Jesus not only fulfilled that prophecy, He continues today. “He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying: “He Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses…” (Matthew 8:16, 17)

Jesus Christ, the Baptizer with the Holy Spirit

• The early Church was commanded not to attempt ministry in their own power, but to wait in the city of Jerusalem, “…until you are endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49) Jesus’ last words to His disciples concerned power. They were given the promise of it, and the purpose of it. “You shall receive…and you shall be witness to Me…” (Acts 1:8)
• You see, Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, the All-Powerful, Almighty God, confined Himself to a body when He came to earth to die for us. Yet, as He ascended to the right hand of the Father, He once again confined Himself to a body, the Body of Christ. That’s us! In baptizing us with the Holy Spirit, He permeates every fiber of our being with His Presence. He calls us to do a task, but follows through making the power available to do it.

Jesus Christ, the Soon Coming King

• He’s coming back! We live in a kingdom, a spiritual territory with well-established boundaries. Jesus Himself said, “The kingdom of God is within you.” We have been given the authority to do the Father’s business, to take charge of the affairs of the Kingdom. But one day soon, our King is returning! “For the Lord, Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God.” (I Thessalonians 4:16) He will rule from earth and the government will be upon His shoulders.
• As if that isn’t enough to look forward to, Jesus is coming as the Bridegroom for His bride! “The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we shall always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:17) He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament concerning His first coming. Just as perfectly, He will fulfill the more than 300 New Testament references to His second coming. Our hearts echo the writer of Revelation, saying, “Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.”

We believe that upon accepting Jesus Christ as God and Savior, an individual is baptized into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit and that the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is the seal or down payment on our eternal salvation. We also believe that there is an empowering encounter either immediately, or at a later time in our maturing process, where Jesus then baptizes us with Holy Spirit where we totally empty ourselves of all self-will and receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit, empowering the believer to do the work of God in proportion to the believer’s personal surrender to Jesus Christ, helping the Christian live a holy, victorious and fruitful life that greatly glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that Satan (the devil) is a real, created being who fell away from God, and that he is destined for the judgment of eternal punishment in the lake of fire.

We believe in the unity of Christians as an essential ingredient for both divine blessing and effective evangelism, and must be guarded and encouraged. We believe that sins such as gossip and slander, for example, are especially damaging to this unity, serving as serious hindrances to both the blessing and power of God.

We believe that people are created in the image of God, and that as a result of the Fall of humanity, through the first person, Adam, all people are individually sinners needing Salvation, forgiveness and restoration to God through Jesus Christ. We believe that a person’s sins can only be forgiven through saving faith- by personally acknowledging that Jesus is both God and Savior, that His death on the cross is the only sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin, and by inviting Him to be the Master of one’s life. We believe that God will hold each person individually accountable for what they have believed and done with Jesus Christ, and that salvation comes after personal repentance, by grace alone, through the saving faith in the person of Jesus Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of both the Christian and the unbeliever, the Saved and the Lost- that the Christian is saved unto the resurrection of eternal life in the presence of God, and that the unbeliever is lost unto the resurrection of eternal judgment, in eternal separation from God. While this statement is strong in a world of growing relativism, belief otherwise would contradict the consistent and thorough statements made throughout the Bible by credible individuals, including Jesus Christ.

According to the scriptures, we believe in a literal Heaven and Hell. Also according to the scriptures, we believe that the only way of salvation and eternal life is through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
